Two questions open for me at this point:

  • What about Existing CE 6.0 BSP’s
  • Will we be able to develop Silverlight in Managed Code

I found a Video showing the Asus Device from yesterday:

Just found something cool concerning Windows CE 7.  Just found on wmpoweruser.com:

Asus has announced two new Eee Pad tablets at Computex Taipei.  The smaller 10-inch Eee Pad EP101TC will be superslim at just 12.2mm in thickness and weighs 675g. It will run Windows Embedded Compact 7.

I was always excited by the long runtimes and the sunlight readability provided by Ebooks! Yet most of them are not really “programmable” – maybe with the Exception of the Rex (but hey we are not Linux C++ guys).  The EBook from Malata based on Windows CE gives you all the options – and yes if they can really keep their promise of 1 Week continuous reading their are many possibilities for LOB applications.

On the Motorola Booth in Barcelona i got very excited  about the Kopin Golden-i. It is an Wearable CE 6.0 Device which is controlled via Voice and Motion (g-sensor). It is a perfect fit below a typical helmet and can be programmed like any other Windows CE device. I was told an SDK would be available in April – the Product shipping in volume by the end of the year. Cool expierence – they had many working “prototypes” on the show.
