Got a good tip from Alex yesterday. This little config tool got realy something under the hood and everybody who wants to pimp his HTC is going to like this (you can change almoste everything).

Gleich hab ich mich darn gesetzt und Komponenten geschrieben, mit Notification Klassen gespielt, SystemState durchgeackert,…. bis 02:00 (weils ja auch spaß macht wenn man mal so richtig drinn hängt). Natürlich war der Schock groß als ich am nächsten Tag folgendes auf meinem HTC Diamond (WM 6.1) gefunden habe.

Um den G-Sensor richtig benutzen bzw. testen zu können, muss man wissen wie genau die x, y und z Achsen Ausschlagen. Hierfür habe ich folgendes kleines Testprogramm geschrieben.

(Es gibt die Möglichkeit zwischen Linien-, Flusslinien- und Balkendiagramm zu wählen).

Aber trotzdem kam es schon zu einem kleinen Missgeschick,… er hat eine Datenverbindung aktiviert (bzw. ein Programm welches automatich eine Datenverbindung herstellte) und nicht mehr deaktiviert, was teuer werden kann. Gottseidank hat er eine Prepaid Karte!

Darum hab ich mich auf die Suche begeben und folgendes tolles Tool gefunden, mit dem man “gezielt” (auto) Verbindungen deaktivieren kann.

My father got a HTC diamond for christmas. Unfortunatly, he’s not very familiar with Windows Mobile, but he reads the manual (good dad).

Despite all that, a little accident happend,… he activated a data connection (a program automaticaly opend it) and never deactivated it, which can be expansive. I’m glad he has a prepaid card!

Therfore, I searched the web and found the followind cool tool, which can disable (auto) data connections.

Yesterday I worked a bit late. As the clock turned past 01:00 and I was packing my laptop, it struck me like lightning. The christmas bell,… why use the old fashion analog one, when you can do it with the G-Sensor inside the HTC. (don’t worry, the bell can also be rung without a G-Sensor).

Here is the first beta version.

Nach langem Warten ist es wieder mal soweit, eine neue Version von Flaschendrehen ist online (Wie versprochen vor Weihnachten).

Neue Features:

• Der G-Sensor triggert jetzt nur mehr auf richtiges Drehen bzw. Schütteln in Drehrichtung
• Die Flasche kann sich im und gegen den Uhrzeigersin drehen
• Die Animiation ist flackerfrei(er)
• Samsung Omnia wird unterstützt
• Es funktioniert natürlich noch immer auf nicht G-Sensor Windows Mobiles – einfach über den Touch Screen fahren

You had to wait long, but finally the new version of Spin the bottle is online (As promised bevor xmas).

• The bottle spins now clockwise and counter clockwise
• Tha animation is ficker free(er )

• Still works on non G-Sensor Devices – simply use the Touch to spin the Bottle

Und es ist super einfach – ein Verzeichnis am Kaiser oder auf SD machen,  4 Dateien herunterladen und in den Ordner kopieren. Dann Harret.exe im Windows Mobile ausführen – und “run” klicken.  – Dann sollte Android booten! – Nach einem Warmstart ist alles wieder normal

Wie wir alle wissen, haben wir manchmal an den ungewöhnlichsten Orten die besten Ideen. Mir ging es so, hier in Barcelona, bei einem kleinen Umtrunk mit unserer Kollegin Luisa Partridge von Dunstan Thomas. Die Jugend heutzutage sollte die guten alten Spiele auch mal wieder spielen. Warum nicht den G-Sensor des HTC Touch Diamond nutzen zum Flaschendrehen . Für nicht HTC‘ler, man kann die Flasche auch drehen indem man über den Touchscreen streift.

As we all know, we sometimes get the best ideas in the most unusual places. I got mine, in Barcelona, during a little drink with one of our associates Luisa Partridge from Dunstan Thomas. Todays youth should be playing the good old games again. Why not using the G-Sensor of the HTC Touch Diamond for spin the bottle .
