With the instructions from the “Wall Mounted SqueezePlayer” and a additional installation of the piCorePlayer I set up a Raspberry Pi Squeezebox,… with the “good old fashion” software (no internet server needed).

The costs are below that of the new UE Smart Radio and with the ammunition box I have a sturdy case for my garage radio.

Parts needed:

  • Raspberry PI B
  • Adafruit PiTFT 320×240
  • USB Powerd speakers
  • Wlan USB stick
  • USB Hub
  • USB Power adapter
(with enough power for the TFT, Raspberry and the speakers)
