Großes Interesse bei „Major Cities of Europe“ im Wiener Rathaus/A lot of visitors at „Major Cities of Europe“

Unser Ausstellungsstand auf der Konferenz „Major Cities of Europe (MCE)“ im Wiener Rathaus erfreute sich regen Besucherandrangs. Das hängt wohl auch damit zusammen, dass gerade öffentliche Verwaltungen viel mit geografischen Daten arbeiten. Dies spiegelte sich nicht zuletzt im Konferenzprogramm wieder, wo regelmäßig auf Basis geografischer Daten informative Darstellungen präsentiert wurden. Gemäß dem Motto der Tagung "ICT – Driving the City of tomorrow?" wurde in den Vorträgen und Gesprächen oft betont, dass solche Anwendungen in Zukunft noch wichtiger werden, um sowohl die Verwaltungsmitarbeiter wie auch die Einwohner schnell und anschaulich über aktuelle Entwicklungen informieren zu können. Da liegen wir natürlich mit unserem auf geografischen Daten basierenden POI Explorer am Multi-Touch-Multi-User Tisch Surface 2.0 goldrichtig und werden aufgrund der großen Nachfrage unsere Aktivitäten weiter ausbauen.

Our booth at the conference „Major Cities of Europe (MCE)” attracted a lot of interested visitors from all over the world, showing our POI Explorer application on Surface 2.0/SUR 40. In discussions with the visitors we found out, that the daily work in a public administration is often based on geographical data and there is a need for applications like ours. According to the title of the conference “"ICT – Driving the City of tomorrow?" we assume, that the need for such applications will grow fast in the future. Therefor we will enhance our POI Explorer application on Surface 2.0/SUR 40 to offer an easy and rich application to cities in Europe and all over the world.
